| Description | Alliance between the Federal Association of Free Voters and local-interest associations active in the state of Brandenburg united under the umbrella of the Brandenburg United Citizens' Movements (launched in 2008). The alliance was registered as a party on June 6, 2011 and renamed BVB/Freie Wahler. Party intends to continue to assemble local associations and civic group under its banner until it becomes a presence to be reckoned with in the state of Brandenburg. Party focuses on local issues but also demands the release upon request of collected data by the state on its citizens and reducing the state's high debt. Party reached its best result after local elections held on May 26, 2019 and picked up 5 seats in state elections in Brandenburg held on September 1, 2019. Party is led and chaired by Péter Vida [Brandenburger Vereinigte Bürgerbewegungen/Freie Wähler (BVB/FW; BVB/FREIE WÄHLER)]. |
