Left-of-center regional party dominant in the Indian state of Nagaland. Party began as the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) formed by dissidents from the Naga People's Front. Party changed its name and course in October 2017 by moving right of center, and allying itself with the BJP. Party doubled in size on April 29, 2022 when 21 Naga People's Front MP's switched parties to join the NDPP. The NDPP holds 41 out of 60 Nagaland Assembly seats as of January 1, 2023. Party President is Chingwang Konyak.
