| Description | Far-left, Trotskyite-Syndicalist party formed from the dissolved Movimiento al Socialismo in 1982, which itself was a successor to the Socialist Workers' Party launched by activist Nahuel Moreno in 1972, and banned by the civic-military dictatorship after the coup d'état in 1976. Nuevo MAS was 're-created' in 2003 to model the philosophical structure of the defunct Socialist Workers' Party founded by Moreno, who died in 1987. Party is led by Héctor Heberling [Nuevo Movimiento al Socialismo (Nuevo MAS)]. |
