| Description | Left-wing party begun as an electoral alliance of the Razem (Together), the Unia Pracy (Labor Union, UP), the Polska Partia Socjalistyczna (Polish Socialist, PPS), Twój Ruch (Your Movement) and the Ruch Sprawiedliwości Społecznej (Social Justice Movement, RSS), launched ahead of elections to the European Parliament in 2019. Coalition ceased to function and dissolved on May 26, 2019; however, the Razem (Together) party decided to adopt the coalition's name Lewica Razem (Left Together) as its own on June 1, 2019. Razem was originally launched on July 21, 2015 by dissidents dissatisfied with the lack of left-wing representation in parliament. It associated itself closely with Janis Varoufakis' DiEM25 (Movement of Democracy in Europe 2025), but broke off bitterly in February 2022. Party subsequently submerged itself within the Democratic Left Alliance, where all of the party's deputies were elected from, and sat in the Coalition Parliamentary Caucus of the Left (LEWICA). Party has been collectively led by a National Board since November 27, 2022 co-chaired by Sejm member Magdalena Biejat and entrepreneur Adrian Zandberg. On February 27, 2023, Lewica Razem announced a joint participation agreement with New Left, the PPS and the UP, ahead of parliamentary elections in 2023 and European Parliament elections in 2024 [Lewica Razem (LR)]. |
