Center-right party and ally of the ruling Rwandan Patriotic Front since 2003. Party focuses on ways to uplift Rwandans from poverty and reconciliation between the Tutsi and the Hutu. Party is led by MP Nizeyimana Pie, who retains the UDPR's sole seat in the 80-seat Chamber of Deputies [Union Démocratique du Peuple Rwandais (UDPR); Ubumwe bw’Abanyarwanda na Demokarasi].
