| Description | Center-left party formed by environmentalist Per Gahrton mainly as a reaction to blockpolitik (the prevalence of coalition-building in Sweden) and nuclear power. Party spearheaded the start of green parties elsewhere in Europe. Party is the smallest in the Rikstag and finds its strongest support in the major cities. Party is lead by two 'spokespersons', Per Bolund and Märta Stenev [Miljöpartiet de gröna (MP; small 'g' in 'gröna' not added to acronym)]. |
