|Description||Violent anti-Awami League, Pakistan-allied terroristic party founded by members of Pakistani armed forces resident in independent Bangladesh who, led by a Colonel Farook, assassinated Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh's first president and considered the father of the Bangladeshi nation, on August 15 1975. Rahman was the father of Bangladesh's current Prime Minister and Awami Party Chairman, Sheikh Hasina. |
Party activists conspire to murder Awami League politicians and bomb Awami League rallies. Oddly, party has not been banned. Party is led by Colonel Farook's son, Sayd Tarik Rahman. Symbol of the party is the an assassin's axe.
