| Description | Alliance of three anti-Bourtese parties; the General Liberation and Development Party (Algemene Bevrijdings- en Ontwikkelingspartij; aka ABOP), the Party for Democracy and Development (Partij voor Democratie en Ontwikkeling, PDO), and the Party for National Unity and Solidarity (Kerukunan Tulodo Pranatan Inggil, KTPI).
The alliance is led by ABOP chief and former anti-Bourtese rebel leader Ronnie Brunswijk. Alliance prides itself on being a joint effort by the leading parties of the two largest ethnic groups in Suriname, the 'Maroons' led by the ABOP, and the 'Javanese' led by the KTPI [Alternatieve-Combinatie (AC)]. |
