Description | Center-right party that was formed when the parties Pro Patria (Isamaaliit) and Res Publica merged on November 15, 2006. Party was originally launched as Erakond Eesti Eest (EEE; the Political Party for Estonia), changing its name on June 2, 2018 to the Fatherland Party (Isamaa). Party has been led by the Deputy Chairman of the XIV Riigikogu (assumed office on July 19, 2022) and former Minister of Agriculture Helir-Valdor Seeder since May 13, 2017. Party picked up 11 seats in the Riigikogu after elections held on March 3, 2019. |
