| Description | Centrist party formed by Ivan Brajović and Vujica Lazović, two dissidents from the similarly-named Social Democratic Party of Montenegro (SDP), where they had led a faction. Party supports the affirmation of an independent Montenegrin Orthodox Church and strengthening Montenegrin identity. Ivan Brajović became the party's first president, and caused to rally the party behind the ruling DPS and the government of Milo Đukanović. Former Minister of Education Damir Šehović was elected the party's new president on January 30, 2022. Party holds three seats in Parliament [Socijaldemokrate Crne Gore; Social Democrats of Montenegro (SDCG or SD of Montenegro)]. |
