| Description | Political nuance assigned by France's Ministry of Interior to classify environmentalist candidates supported by a party that does not have its own 'shade' (a total of 18 shades were assigned in 2022; 17 in 2017). These candidates were assembled under the "Ecologistes" nuance and shade ahead of legislative elections which took place on June 12 and June 19, 2022. Those parties assembled under the "Ecologistes" nuance in 2022 were; Europe-Ecologie-Les Verts, Union des démocrates et des écologistes, Les Nouveaux démocrates, Alliance Ecologiste Indépendante, Rassemblement citoyen-CAP 21, Génération écologie, parti animaliste, and individual non-party candidates identifying themselves as solely ecologists (environmentalists). Designations were made official and enforceable by France's Ministry of Interior on May 13, 2022 [écologistes (ECO)]. |
