Party was launched and led by Honduras' 33rd president, Manuel Zedaya (January 27, 2006 - June 28, 2009). Party supported the failed candidacy of Salvador Nasralla for the presidency in 2017, forming together the short-lived "Opposition Alliance against the Dictatorship."
