Centrist, Muslim-minority rights movement, particularly those of Turkish and Pomak (Muslim Bulgarian) ancestry, and Bulgaria's largest minority-interests party. Party also lends support to the Christian Romani minority. Party promotes a socially liberal agenda, though it fiercely opposes secularism and Islamic fundamentalism. Party was founded by Ahmed Dogan, the party's first chairman (January 4, 1990 - January 19, 2013). Party has been chaired by Mustafa Karadayi since April 24, 2016 [Движение за права и свободи (ДПС); Romanized as Dvizhenie za prava i svobodi (DPS); Turkish: Hak ve Özgürlükler Hareketi (HÖH)].
