DescriptionLeft-wing labor focused party split from the Unified Progressive Party in 2012. Party initially launched as the 'Progressive Justice Party' (PJP) changing its name on July 16, 2013. Party is closely linked to the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) and acts in its interests.

The JP has been led by presidential candidate (in 2017) and MP, Sim Sang-jung since July 13, 2019 (party known in Romanized Korean as Jeonguidang).
