| Description | Swiss French feminist, far-left grouping of small Marxist parties primarily operating in the city of Geneva calling itself an 'eco-socialist, anti-capitalist movement.' Party is most active in Romandy, particularly, within four cantons; Vaud, Geneva, Neuchâtel and Fribourg, and was able to pick up one seat in the federal National Council under the name solidaritéS after elections held on October 20, 2019. In Geneva and Vaud cantons, it has presented itself as simply "Ensemble à gauche" (Set Left) since 2013. It registered to participate in federal National Council elections planned for October 22, 2023 as "solidaritéS (et alliés)" [solidarityS (and allies)]. The "S" in SolidarityS stands for Suisse. |
