1) Various candidates of the People's Party (1887-1908) have been listed as Populist candidates
2) The Populist Party (1984-1996) was a right-wing political party of the 1980s. This political party attempted to gather the remnants of the old George Wallace parties into one national organization (unsuccessfully). [Link]
