| Description | Conservative party founded by oft-entered presidential candidate Mario Amílcar Estrada Orellana. Party was alleged to be top-heavy with narco-traffickers and was ultimately done in by the arrest of Estrada in April 2019 on charges of financing the Sinaloa Cartel. Subsequent arrests of its legislative and municipal candidates brought disarray to the party. Party was forced to close in 2022 by the Supreme Tribunal. UCN was led by its secretary general Jorge Passarelli Urrutia [Unión del Cambio Nacional (UCN)]. |
