DescriptionRight-of-center, multi-religious populist party formed as a political vehicle for former general and current Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto. Prabowo used the party to back his presidential aspirations in 2014 and 2019. Party seeks to appeal to both an urban liberal class and rural class with a nationalist, inclusive religious posture and succeeded in becoming Indonesia's third-most popular as a result, amassing 78 seats in the People's Council [Partai GERINDRA; acronym of Partai Gerakan Indonesia Raya (GIR)].
