Centrist political alliance of the 'Alliance for Democracy and Federation' and the one-time ruling party of Burkina Faso, the 'African Democratic Rally' (ADR). The ADR was led by Prime Minister (February 13, 1971 – February 8, 1974) Gérard Kango Ouédraogo, who died in July 1974. His son, Gilbert Noël Ouédraogo, took command of the new alliance on June 29, 2003, and is the party's 2020 presidential candidate [Alliance pour la Démocratie et la Fédération–Rassemblement Démocratique Africain (ADF-RDA)].
