The Nebraska Party is founded on the principles of the Democrat-Republican Party, which was established in the early 1800s by Thomas Jefferson. The Nebraska Party represents the people, the working people (labor), family farmers, small business and, of course, our senior citizens. The large corporate interests control both major parties with their money and influence. The modern day Republican Party tends to favor the rich, yet claim to oppose abortion and claim to oppose special rights for homosexuals, whereas the Democrat party supports larger social welfare programs, affirmative action, abortion, and special rights for homosexuals, and gun control. Neither party represents the average person. |
