Party underwent three name changes, starting with the "Association for the Republic - Republican Party of Czechoslovakia" (dissolved in 2013), re-emerging in 2016 as the "Association for the Republic - Republican Party of Czechoslovakia 2016."

Sládek finally decided on "Association for the Republic - Republican Party of Czechoslovakia Miroslav Sládek" ahead of legislative elections planned for 2017.
