Center-right party seeking a spiritual and Christian rebirth of Romania through close adherence to the Orthodox Christian doctrines of the Romanian Orthodox Church. Party was founded as the New Generation Party by former Bucharest Mayor Viorel Lis. Upon her departure, the party was given a religious overlay and renamed the New Generation-Christian Democratic on April 2006 by its new leader, businessman and ex MP, George Becali [Partidul Noua Generație-Creștin Democrat (PNG-CD)].
