| Description | Secularist, pro-free-market center-right party founded and led by the former Minister of Industrial Development, Nikephoros Fylla of Saint-Eudes. Party supports the formation of a liberal democracy in Congo-Brazzaville, and remains one of a handful of genuine opposition parties left in the nation. Party is a key member of exiled Council of Political Parties, a collection of mainly exiled politicians and parties opposed to the regime of strongman president Denis Sassou-Nguesso. The PRL holds one seat in the Senate and two in the Assembly [Parti républicain libéral (PRL)]. |
