Coalition of Black African nationalist movements founded and led by 2019 presidential candidate Kane Hamidou Baba (died on December 28, 2021). Coalition has battled organized slavery in Mauritania, underground slave markets and extra-judicial executions of Black African soldiers in the Mauritanian Army. Coalition calls for national unity and reconciliation in order to bring about "the settlement of the humanitarian liabilities" begun in the 1990s. Coalition joined forces on March 15, 2023 with the Tewassoul party to present shared lists ahead of parliamentary elections held on May 13 and May 27, 2023. Coalition is currently led by Dia Alassane [Coalition Vivre Ensemble (CVE); aka, Vivre Ensemble].
