Description | Center-right party begun as a foundation focused on building sustainable development strategies for Paraguay. Foundation became the Patria Querida Movement in December 2001 which was used as a vehicle by its founder Pedro Fadul to support his presidential candidacy in 2003. Fadul converted the movement into a party in 2004. PPQ advocates for the integration of Paraguay in Latin American blocs, offers negotiation proposals for treaties with the Itaipu and Yacyretá indigenous peoples, writes position papers on Judicial reform and proposes a re-organization of the Supreme Court of Justice. Party remains the third-largest in Paraguay as of January 2023 [Partido Patria Querida (PPQ)]. |
