| Description | Electoral alliance of five communist, sovereigntist parties launched ahead of general elections planned for September 25, 2022. Alliance consists of Republican Rebirth (Rinascita Repubblicana; RR), Civil Revolution (Rivoluzione Civile; RC), United Italy (Italia Unita, IU), Reconquer Italy (Riconquistare l'Italia, RI), Italy Again (AI) and the Communist Party (Partito Comunista; PC). Party wants Italy out of the E.U. and the euro, NATO and the World Health Organization, but is also against “the politically correct, which cancels history and culture.” Party had co-opted Gina Lollobrigida, the 95-year-old former movie star, to run on the ballot south of Rome on its behalf. Alliance was coordinated and is led by the General Secretary of the Communist Party, Marco Rizzo. Party broke apart and dissolved after only five months of operation [Italia Sovrana e Popolare (ISP)]. |
