| Description | Big-tent, right-of-center party launched by former Five Star senator, editor of La Padrania and TV journalist Gianluigi Paragone. Paragone took issue with Five Star's pro-EU stance and was expelled for it. Paragone sought to model his new anti-EU party on Nigel Farage's UKIP, and slowly build a presence in local and municipal legislative bodies (UKIP's strategy in the UK). Party also takes a stand in opposition to the Europe-wide 'COVID Certificate', considering it an imposition on civil rights. Party had one seat in the 18th Chamber of Deputies and did surprisingly well after elections held on September 25, 2022, picking up more than half-a-million votes [Italexit per l'Italia (IEI or EXIT); aka, Italexit – Per l'Italia con Paragone; Italexit – For Italy with Paragone]. |
