DescriptionA libel lawsuit filed in 1997 by failed gubernatorial candidate Charlotte Pritt against three Republican Party groups won't be heard until after the November general election.

Pritt, the 1996 Democratic candidate for governor, sued the Republican National Committee, the Republican National Senatorial Committee and the West Virginia State Victory Committee, a group that formed for the 1996 gubernatorial election.

She alleged the GOP groups damaged her campaign with false radio and television spots in the final weeks of the race and also hurt her personally.
