Description | Iowa's 2004 election-year landscape will be dramatically different from two years ago, when the fall ballot offered some of the nation's most competitive races for U.S. House and Senate.
This year, a number of new faces will challenge a slate of congressional incumbents, many of whom have been in Congress for 10 years.
The one exception will be a rematch of the race for Iowa's 3rd District, featuring incumbent Democrat Rep. Leonard Boswell and Republican Stan Thompson.
