Description | The French establishment is worried that it has a Trump on its hands going into next April’s Presidential election. With Marine Le Pen seemingly having a proper ceiling of just around 40%, her presence in the second round of voting against front-runner President Macron would ensure that the latter would once again cruise to victory.
Eric Zemmour has yet to announce his candidacy, but he is already polling stronger than liberal, conservative, socialist and communist candidates, and has topped his rival to the right, Marine Le Pen, in at least one poll. |
