| Description | Middlesex County Clerk Elaine Flynn will not seek re-election to a sixth term.
Flynn defeated incumbent Dennis Little, the last Republican to hold countywide office in Middlesex, with 61% of the vote in 1995.
“It has been my great privilege and honor to serve our residents over the past quarter-century as the first woman ever elected Middlesex County Clerk,” Flynn said in a statement released on Wednesday evening. “I have had two successful and satisfying careers in both teaching and as the longest serving County Clerk.” |
