| Description | A Tunisian court ordered the release of a media mogul-turned-presidential candidate jailed in August over corruption allegations, his lawyer said, days before a crucial run-off vote.
The decision to free Nabil Karoui, who’s one of two contenders in Oct. 13’s presidential election, was announced by Ridha Belhaj, a member of his defense team. The 56-year-old founder of Nessma TV could be freed as early as Wednesday night, Belhaj said by phone. |
