Description | Clive Palmer has sacked a United Australia Party candidate who peddled conspiracy theories about the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Tony Pecora, who was running for the seat of Melbourne, claimed the 2001 attacks which killed almost 3,000 people could have been the work of "globalist forces" and suggested "the whole story doesn't make sense".
After being confronted with his comments, a spokesperson for Mr Palmer confirmed to Nine's The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age the candidate had been disendorsed. |
