Description | The Illinois Republican Party is calling for Democratic state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit to resign after she wished an infectious disease upon a GOP colleague’s family.
Kifowit directed the remark at Republican state Rep. Peter Breen during a contentious debated Tuesday over a bill to help families impacted by an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease at a state-run veterans home, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
“I would like to make him a broth of Legionella and pump it into the water system of his loved one so that they can be infected, they can be mistreated, they can sit and suffer by getting aspirin instead of being properly treated and ultimately die,” Kifowit said to Breen on the State House floor. |
