Description | If you saw a handful of people waving Howard Dean placards Sunday at the busy intersection near the Kravis Performing Arts Center, you might have wondered if they have been incarcerated, incapacitated or in denial.
After all, nearly everybody knows Dean dropped out of the race for the Democratic nomination for president nearly three weeks ago.
"We're not in denial," said Gordon Gerbitz of Delray Beach, one who spent two hours in the hot sun at a congested intersection wearing Dean T-shirts and waving to motorists. "But we want the Democratic Party to know we're not going away and not to take us for granted."
"We want representation at the convention," said Tom Conboy of West Palm Beach. "Democrats need to stand up and be Democrats again. Howard Dean brought the fight to George W. Bush when nobody else had the courage" to do so. |
