Description | Former Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond’s TV show on Kremlin-backed RT “misled” viewers, British media watchdog Ofcom ruled.
It said tweets used on the show, which aired in 2017, were presented as having come from the audience when they were written by people who worked on the program.
A single complaint was made to the watchdog about the first episode of “The Alex Salmond Show” which featured an interview with former Catalan President Carles Puigdemont.
Messages were displayed during the episode which Salmond said had been selected from an “avalanche of tweets and emails,” according to an Ofcom report published Monday. |
