Description | The campaign of Mike DeWine continues to ratchet up the ill will in the race for the Republican nomination for governor, tweeting that Mary Taylor committed a crime and should be locked up.
The digital blast represents the attorney general’s most extreme accusation yet in a continuing DeWine theme against Taylor, Ohio’s lieutenant governor, ahead of the May 8 primary.
The tweet, as does the commercial, refers to Taylor paying $1,039 to the state in 2011 after it was found a state airplane went out of its way to drop her off and pick her up at an airport six miles from her home in Green. She denied wrongdoing at the time and repaid the money at the insistence of Gov. John Kasich. She never faced criminal charges; DeWine was attorney general at the time. |
