Description | ALBANY — State Senate Independent Democratic Conference leader Jeff Klein has signed on to a framework to reunify that chamber’s Democrats proffered by Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s team, just hours after telling POLITICO and other news outlets that he had concerns about a policy agenda.
Klein (IDC-Bronx) initially said the Democratic State Committee’s proposal was “very exciting,” but wanted assurances — or perhaps credit — that a unified Democratic Senate would act on his stated goals of single-payer health care, public campaign finance, the DREAM Act and other items. |
