Description | President Trump's longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen said the Oct. 2016 payment of $130,000 to porn star Stephanie Clifford came from his own pocket and he was not reimbursed by the campaign. Clifford, who goes by the stage name Stormy Daniels, had previously alleged an affair with Mr. Trump in 2006, shortly after Melania Trump had given birth to Barron.
"Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly," Cohen said in a statement to CBS News. "The payment to Ms. Clifford was lawful, and was not a campaign contribution or a campaign expenditure by anyone." |
