DescriptionFor months Tim Canova, challenging U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her congressional seat, has been complaining that she was “scared” and wouldn’t debate him.

Now he’s the one who won’t debate.

After Wasserman Schultz finally agreed to a debate on CBS4’s “Facing South Florida with Jim DeFede,” Canova thinks the format is too short — and he’s saying no.

Canova’s campaign manager, Richard Bell, told the Miami Herald on Thursday that Canova “will not” participate in the debate. While Canova has repeatedly tweeted that a “15 minute debate” isn’t long enough, the 8:30 a.m. Sunday show is a half hour with commercials.
