Description | "Hey, you read Sen. Markey’s attempt to defend the fact that he was the only “present” vote on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and you tell me what he’s trying to say:
“Before casting such a monumental vote, I need to review all of the relevant classified materials relating to this matter before I make a decision as important as authorizing the use of military force. The people of Massachusetts expect their representatives to have analyzed all of the facts prior to making a decision of this magnitude.
Uh….OK, Ed. But there were 18 votes cast today, and you were the only “present.” Everyone else voted “yes” (10) or “no” (7). They seemed to be able to “analyze the facts,” understand the “relevant classified materials” and “make a decision of this magnitude.” |
