Mayor James helps lift car off of injured citizen

| Description | Montral Pryor had a car up on bricks and was working under it in a driveway when it suddenly began rolling downhill. His friend ran over to help lift the car off him. The next thing they knew another man came to the rescue and neighbors said it’s someone they never expected to see walking around here this afternoon.
“As I got back to the window to see he looked kind of lifeless. When I got back Sly James the mayor was out here with his staff and they had pulled the car off of the guy,” Theresa Moses, a neighbor, said.
Pryor’s friend Melvin Griffin said that Pryor was just doing him a favor by putting a new transmission in his car.
“Half his body was just under there, man, and most of this tire was on him,” Griffin said. “I heard my wife yelling that the car fell on him so I came running out.” |
