Description | "A self-styled marijuana activist who has been on a crusade to legalize pot in New Jersey for years won a key court ruling yesterday in his bid to legally change his name to NJWEEDMAN.COM.
Superior Court Judge M. Allan Vogelson in Camden had turned down Robert Edward Forchion's name-change application, but a three-judge panel overturned that decision yesterday and sent the matter back to the trial court to give Forchion a second chance to make his case.
The appeals court said the original hearing was unfair because the trial judge let the Camden County Prosecutor's Office make oral arguments opposing the name change but did not give Forchion, who was in prison at the time, a chance to argue his position in court."
