Description | Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds acknowledged Monday she has encouraged state Sen. Joni Ernst of Red Oak to run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Tom Harkin, a Democrat. She said Ernst is a longtime friend and she has always urged other Republicans , including Republican women, to seek elected office.
“I did talk with Joni about that,” said Reynolds, adding she has talked with a lot of people about running for the U.S. Senate. |
