Description | Callis declined to comment on Wednesday.
Her name was not on a list of candidates hoping to become the new chief judge. That vote was held earlier this week, though the results have not been released.
Callis, who lives in Troy, is expected to announce that she will run for the 13th Congressional District, according to a number of sources and reports, a newly-redrawn district that covers a third of Madison County, including parts of Edwardsville and Glen Carbon.
She would likely face competition from two potential challengers – David Gill and George Gollin – for the right to challenge freshman Rep. Rodney Davis, a Republican from Taylorville. |
