Description | Mitt Romney didn't talk about his personal success enough during the 2012 presidential campaign, real estate mogul and reality TV host Donald Trump told a sleepy audience of conservatives Tuesday morning.
"If Mitt made one mistake, and I like Mitt Romney a lot, but if he made one mistake it's that he didn't talk enough about his success. Because honestly, people really want success," Trump said, before saying he'd personally made $8 billion in his life. He slammed his critics who hadn't made as much money.
Trump, the first speaker Friday morning at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), spoke to a half-full ballroom as the audience trickled in for the next speaker, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky). |
