Description | Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) will announce his resignation from Congress on Wednesday, according to multiple media reports.
Jonathan Jackson, the brother of Rep. Jackson, told The Chicago Tribune on Wednesday that the Illinois congressman would announce his resignation "momentarily."
Similarly, the Chicago Sun-Times also reported Wednesday that Jackson would resign, citing an unnamed source.
Rumors about Jackson's possible resignation come amid reports that he is being investigated by the Justice Department for allegedly misusing campaign donations to redecorate his home. |
