Description | The Dane County judge who ruled that the Legislature violated the state's open meetings law when approving new collective bargaining legislation is considering a run for state Supreme Court against a sitting justice who voted to overturn her decision.
Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi confirmed Thursday she is exploring the possibility of running against first-term incumbent Patience Roggensack, but declined to discuss her reasons.
Sumi said she would announce her decision by Dec. 1, which is when candidates for the spring election can begin circulating nomination papers. |
