| Description | Democrat Kathleen Granahan Kane has won the state attorney general race, The Associated Press reports.
Ms. Kane won 2,556,065 votes over Republican David Freed, who had 1,798,474. Ms. Kane is a Waverly Twp. resident. In Lackawanna County, she won nearly three-quarters of the vote.
Ms. Kane is first Democrat and the first woman elected as attorney general in the commonwealth.
With nearly 90 percent of the vote in, Democrats have swept statewide races:
Eugene Depasquale, the Democratic candidate for auditor general, has 2,265,922 votes over Republican John Mayer, who has 2,016,16 |
