Description | The race for the Republican nomination for governor narrowed Friday when one announced candidate dropped out of the race.
"I am pulling the plug on this campaign," said Randy Harris, former mayor of Petersburg. "There are too many obstacles at this time."
Harris has been an underdog from the beginning, dealing with fund raising and organizational disadvantages against better-known candidates such as former White House budget director Mitch Daniels and conservative activist Eric Miller.
